Discuss selling your business
Perspective. Understanding. Opportunity.
01

Start with your priorities

A sale is a personal decision as well as a commercial one. We start with what you have built, your timing and what matters for your future, your team and the business. You can begin with a broad, anonymised overview.

02

A wider view of potential buyers

Charlie has designed and built buyer-research software that can identify and rank up to 100 potential buyers in moments using publicly available company information. This creates an initial shortlist to review against your business and objectives; confirmed interest and funding are established through further work.

03

Find an adviser suited to your business

We consider sector knowledge, relevant deal size, approach and your priorities when exploring adviser introductions. You can compare the proposed scope and terms before deciding whom to appoint. Your existing accountant and advisers can remain involved.

04

No fee to you from Fryer Origination

The selling owner pays Fryer Origination nothing. We are paid by the businesses we work with from an agreed share of their fees, only when the transaction completes. Any fees charged by an appointed adviser, solicitor or other provider are agreed separately with you.

05

Stay in control of the conversation

We agree what may be shared, with whom and for what purpose before an introduction or approach. We explain the proposed relationship and how we would be paid. An initial enquiry is not an NDA, so confidential documents wait until the appropriate arrangements are agreed.

06

Keep the next step clear

You have a direct point of contact in Charlie, from the first conversation through research and agreed introductions. We help keep the next action clear, with transaction advice, negotiation, valuation and due diligence handled by your appointed specialists.

Before we speak

A few useful
answers.

Do I need to have decided to sell?

No. You can start with an exploratory conversation about your timing and objectives. An enquiry does not commit you to a sale or to appointing an adviser.

Who pays Fryer Origination?

The selling owner pays us no fee. We receive an agreed share of the fees earned by the adviser or other business we work with, only when a deal completes. Those providers agree their own charges separately with you.

Can I keep my business name private initially?

Yes. Start with an anonymised, non-confidential overview. We will agree any necessary confidentiality arrangements and who may receive further information before it is shared.

Can I keep working with my existing advisers?

Yes. Tell us about existing appointments and contact restrictions. We agree our role around those relationships before making an introduction or approach.
